Founded by Candice Lucas, Purity Health's mission is to empower our clients to take ownership of their health and well-being using a holistic approach involving education, plant-based medicine and nutrition.
A key focus is within the importance of balance; helping the body and mind to achieve equilibrium. Chronic illness, Inflammation and Fatigue appear to be the root of many conditions felt by so many of us today. By taking charge of one’s health and having a greater knowledge of how to do this has drawn Candice closer to Holistic health, nutrition and Herbal Medicine; combining a holistic approach with valid scientific rationale. Uprooting the cause of illness is paramount when hoping to achieve long lasting health improvements. The integration of a truly holistic approach that is client centred is key in supporting chronic health, preventative and sustainable healthcare, longevity and vitality.
Candice has a strong passion for holistic health approaches and supporting clients achieve their health and wellbeing goals, with the use of Herbal Medicine, Nutrition and Lifestyle medicine, empowering and educating her clients throughout their journey. She has a long history of working within complementary therapies, delivering a a wide range of therapies, including Clinical Aromatherapy, and Reflexology.
In 2010 Candice was faced with a diagnoses of breast cancer. This made her question her current work-life balance and lifestyle. It was at this time her growing interest and passion for Nutrition and Complementary Medicine grew. Candice graduated in 2015 with the BSc (Hons) degree in Herbal Medicine from Lincoln University, with modules in phytochemistry, biochemistry, nutritional therapy, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology, medical examination and differential diagnosis, as well as pharmacy, clinical and diagnostic skills.
She combines her 28 years of clinical practice, working with clients to empower and educate in treatable, preventative, and sustainable health, alongside delivering wellbeing programs to meet government initiatives, with a 24-year career as a college lecturer at Lincoln College, bringing both experience and realism to the role.
A member of both the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and The Complementary Healthcare Professionals (CHP) ensures a high standard of practice and ethics is maintained and promoted, ensuring up to date knowledge and skills that are relevant to modern-day health and wellbeing needs, making her practice fresh, relevant and safe.
Rahim has a long and varied background as a fitness coach. After training soldiers as a British Army PTI, he set up his own Personal Training and Sports Injury Rehab business, with a series of gyms and clinics around the UK.
Rahim now trains a select few clients, focusing on that 'personal touch'.
